When traveling abroad to study at a university, or to immigrate to Poland, the Czech Republic, Britain, Germany, and to any other country, you need to prepare all the necessary documents, and before leaving, make sure that they will have full legal force where you are coming . And very often school diplomas, diplomas of Ukrainian universities, certificates of good conduct and other important documents must be Apostilled. What is an Apostille and when should it be issued?
An apostille is an assurance that a document is genuine. This is an assurance from the state in which this document was issued. Executed Apostille in the form of a stamp approved under the Hague Convention. This stamp can be affixed to the document itself or be issued as an attachment to it (for example, if the document to be apostilled is a University Diploma, and it is plastic).

An apostille can be placed on official documents issued by the following organizations:

– In the registry office;

– Public and private notaries;

– In the organs of the court and prosecutor’s office;

– In the Ministry of Internal Affairs (for example, certificates of non-conviction)

– In universities and schools:

– In pension funds;

– Since the reform – in the National Police;

– In hospitals and organizations of the Ministry of Health;

– In the tax (fiscal service);

– In the State Migration Service;

Is there an alternative to Apostille

If you are told that the document that is in your hands must be apostilled, but at the same time it does not fall under the list of documents given above and, therefore, it is impossible to put an Apostille on it – we at the Regional Translation Center know the way out even of this situations!

We can apostille such documents through the Affidavit procedure. Yes, it is longer and more expensive, but you will receive an Apostille for the document you need.
